Dragon's Gate Last Summary(Pages 200-331)

Dragon’s Gate

          Finally, Uncle Foxfire and Otter found Father. Father was under the rocks of the explosion. Otter then figured out that his beloved dad was unable to see the world. Getting Father out, Kilroy was there shouting for all the workers to get inside and work. Otter seeing this and his father state, he shouted and protested to Kilroy. Otter taking this action then got whipping from Kilroy badly on his back. Uncle Foxfire finally talked out to Kilroy to make his stop. The painful day made both Father and Otter had to rest in there bunks for awhile.

         
          One day a boy came entering screaming of the avalanche.  Otter being fine already was shock and all of them then went out to check on it. Kilroy was then there to see of the problem that occurred that day. Kilroy then asked for someone to go up the top to make an explosion of another avalanche so it can changed direction and not hit their tunnel’s mountain. Otter then suddenly stood up to agree on this by going to do it for Kilroy but he asked for freedom to go back after that. Kilroy at first was shocked but then agreed because of no one volunteering him. Uncle Foxfire then suggests going with Otter to take care of his nephew. Both of them set going on a very stormy snow wind, they slowly walked out of the tunnel. Sean then got out with Otter and Uncle Foxfire to join the journey. Sean got stuck in the hole and had to get back to the tunnel.

          As the journey continued Uncle Foxfire and Otter had several problems. Uncle Foxfire got cut by an icicle. He then had to rest in the lake leaving Otter all alone to finish his work. Otter walked pass every single thing and finally reached the summit. He put the explosion giving him the success of his dreams. Otter walked down to find his Uncle which he couldn't because his uncle disappeared. He wanted to continue finding his Uncle but because of his hurt he couldn't and quickly walked down getting help from some Tang men back to the tunnel. There Otter rested for days leaving people to find Uncle Foxfire. But after some days of not being able to find him, Otter was really sad. He changed his mind of not going and forfeiting his gift. But instead he sent his blind dad home.

          
        Otter lived in the tunnel working and also trying to find Uncle Foxfire bones to send it to Three Willows. Doing this Kilroy said you should work and have time to find bones only on Sunday. Otter then found out that Sean was going out to the headquarters. So Otter made the request to find out how much Tang people were paid and Westerners. Getting a letter and knowing of the great differences in all accommodations Otter decided to pull out a strike. The strike was successful making all accommodations and salary increased for the Tang men. Finally, Otter realized why he came here for and what Uncle Foxfire came here for. Otter knowing the purpose of living this live made him finally finished the railroad in 1867. All of the crew then moved on to Utah to continue his life.

Dragon’s Gate

          

          After Otter and Father talked, Father took Otter to meet Uncle Foxfire. After some long walked Otter then came to see Uncle Foxfire in a room with Shrimp and too other people. Father then explained who the person was standing with uncle Foxfire. One was Strobridge head of all the operations and the other was Kilroy the overseer. Otter seeing how Uncle Foxfire was felt sad because he was not the same legend type of a person like in Three Willows. Otter then asked Uncle Foxfire the truth. Uncle Foxfire just told him that here he was a worker and in Three Willows he was a legend because everyone taught it like that. Uncle Foxfire even said that Otter would have to work like other crews.

          Uncle Foxfire has some Crews under him. He had Bright Star, Noodles, and Shaky. When Father took Otter to try work there he met two other crews. It was Dandy and Curly which Curly bet to Otter that he would not be able to swing the pickax. Otter unable to do got a lot of laughing from all the crews’ member that day and felt sad about the choice he made to come to the Land of Golden Mountain.  That day was a long day before Otter came back to the cabin and met with the one who makes super and every other work in the cabin. The person is Packy also Otter came to know that everyone sleep in Bunks.  

          Getting teased everyday for a while, one day after dinner Otter went on a little walk in that area. He then happens to pass upon Sean the westerner. Sean was talking to Otter for a while when Father, Kilroy, and Uncle Foxfire came. Kilroy was so angry seeing Sean with Otter because Sean was actually Kilroy’s son. Everyone was angry at Otter for doing this but then the next day he went to meet Sean and again got caught again. Kilroy was again angry. But after a while everything was forgot, Otter live his everyday working.

          As he came back from work one day, he was that everyone was torn apart and Bright star was screaming for his missing carving knife. Also was Doggy sad on about his Moon guitar. Everyone taught it was a thief who did this to them. That night Otter couldn't sleep at all because he was addicted to the music Doggy used to play with his guitar. Otter decided to whisper with Bright Star on buying new Guitar for Doggy. Bright Star agreed as so others too and then they contributed some money each. Otter gave the gift that he kept it from others to give in for the moon guitar which that was the most contribution. In the morning Doggy was happy to get the new moon guitar but was also sad to lose his 2 fingers because of frostbite. That day as everyone worked they all cooperated. Otter getting to use the Pickax of Doggy became much better at it. As they were working corporately and suddenly there was an explosion. Everyone was down and no one knew where each one was. Otter and some other crews got the way out by the lantern and the help of Kilroy. Uncle Foxfire was still inside with all the dust trying to find Father. The story ends to there.

Dragon’s Gate Summary
               The story started in July 1865, in village of Three Willows of Kwangtung Province China. This village was a village that was conquered by the Manchu. In this village there was one boy name Otter which is an adopted son to one parent of the village making him feels like the stranger of the village. He had several uncles and friends. His one Uncle which is named as Foxfire, his father, and many other several men went to the Land of Golden Mountain in America to work there. They didn't come back for some years after they went there.
              

              Then one day all of them decided to make their way back. By hearing the surprising news they prepared a big homecoming for them. Uncle Foxfire has a wife known as “The Lion Rock Woman” which is the sister-in-law of Otter’s mother was both happy to have their husband back to the village. On one day at night when they were feasting there was a group of people addicted to opium attacked the feast and one of them was Stumpy’s mother which was one of Otter friends. It was such a disaster that Uncle Foxfire and Father had to call on “The Watch” to finally stop the addicts. It took some long time to be able to block the addicts away.
              
                The addicts were caused by the British who won two wars and force the Three Willows village to be able to sell opium. This caused poison throughout the kingdom, so from this incident it made Uncle Foxfire and Father stood up and told everyone that they can get rid of the British and Manchu’s too by getting weapons and the method of how the civil war that ended in the land of Golden Mountain. From this speech it made Otter had the inspiration to go to the Land of Golden Mountain with his Uncle and Father but at last after trying several times he had to choose to stay with his Mother because he is scared she will be in deep sorrow. 

               After one long year that his dad left with Otter's friend Braid his heartache was not healed. Otter felt still terrible of not being able to go to the Land of Golden Mountain. So in that very year he and his friend Cricket decided to go to The Dragon’s Gate and made a wish that he would be able to go to the Land of Golden Mountain. It took him some time to make a wish there. By the time he finished with his wish he was suddenly caught by the Manchu’s and escaped by hiding in some traveling chairs.

Dragon’s Gate
            After Otter escaped the Manchu by killing one of them into the chair, he and Cricket finally found the way back to the enter gate of Three Willows. Cricket then went to call Mother to come and meet Otter. Otter wandering around suddenly came to saw his birth mother grave. As he was there for a while Mother came. Mother was at first angry at Otter, for killing the Manchu.
            Mother was angry for a while and then suddenly started talking about Otter's real mother.Mother told Otter that his Mother’s name was Aster and his father name was Tiny. Mother was talking about how they sacrifice to safe Father and Uncle Foxfire. After talking for a while she told Otter that he will have to go to the Land of Golden Mountain because she is scared that the Manchu may come for revenge. So she quickly manage find a business client that was going back there and manage to send Otter along. It was a long trip by ship there, continuing a trip by boat. Otter then made some new friends which were Brush and Shifty. They were both also Tang people this is what the middle kingdom call themselves from their ancestor Tang dynasty just like Otter. Otter enjoyed the long talk with Brush and Shifty till the boat trip nearly ended.
            After the trip by boat they went by train and finally reach the place. Then they had to continue travelling on the sledges. As they traveled on the sledges, Otter then managed to help a westerner named Sean up the sledge. Otter started talking to Sean and asked him about stuffs. As time passed Otter came pass a path, which was very steep making all the people in the sledge to help pull it up. As they did and finish pulling they then came to a hole and at the time there was a really bad blizzard. Otter and his friends gathered to talk on what to do next, but by talking the sledges left them. Brush, Shifty, and Otter walked to the dark hole and then through the tunnel.
           At that tunnel there were many rooms and finally Otter managed to find a person. At first that person was not willing to talk to Otter at all but when Otter spoke up the name Uncle Foxfire he spoke and took Otter to a guy named Shrimp. Shrimp then took Otter on a long walk  to find Uncle Foxfire. And on the way Otter suddenly met his  Father and talked of how he got to the Land of Golden Mountain by killing a one Manchu.

The Word That Best Describe Ekachai Narula!!

                This huge gigantic world of ours have plenty of English words. It can be in an amount of many many thousands. Words are consisted of many different types. And right now  I am here to describe myself from using words that we can call it easily as "Describing Words." A word that can describe a person can't be chosen easily but the word that I believe can really describe me for who I am is that I am a friendly person.

                   Friendly is a characteristic that a person like Ekachai Narula has it. I believe I am friendly in many ways. Like for example, I am a person that like to communicate with others and to learn more  about them in what and where they are in need of help. Also I like to talk, introduce, and know more about other people that came in new to my life. Having new and a lot of friends is something I have earned from having this characteristics. Friends is something that a person like me needs in life to have someone that can help to entertain you in many ways. So I am friendly to make my friends feel like that about me too. This friendliness will always make your friend be there when you ever need them. Because of all the friendship that was given to me made me have the aspect of friendliness.

                 Friendly is a characteristics that I am really blessed to have in life. Is really one of the character that gives me lesson in life that I would never know  if I didn't have it. Is one thing that gave me great success in life. Friendly is something that is in my heart and I know it. This is a character that will make me move on my life with people passing by my path everyday. Finally, is the character I would like to Thank God for giving to me and giving me who I am really.

Spectator Sport- Science Fair

Science Fair Bitec Bangna

                        

                             During the Perfect Month of August From the 7-31 there is a wonderful Science Fair which is held. This Science Fair is located deep outside on the crowd outskirts of the City of Smiles we all name it for Bangkok. Is a city known for its beautifully designed, gigantic, and tall buildings. One of the large buildings was the famous Bitec Bangna. Is a good place known mostly for setting up different kinds of fairs because of having lots a aegis ready give them accomodations in each fair they arrange. One of the most interesting fair is the Science fair. With the price free for the entrance the old outstanding school, Ekamai International School, arranged the extreme High-school out for the journey on this fair.

                            Right there at the fair there was a huge size of the place also made the crowd filled in like worms. There were hardly place to sit down in that kind of the big crowd. Though the high-school students and one of them was me managed to get through one tremendous tent where all the crowds were. Reaching inside the fair gate gave everyone and me a massive shock, because the science fair included of  multifarious science experiments standing in front of all of us and the hall   was so spacious that is so difficult to finish explore the whole fair. Students first breaking themselves into small groups of friends then started the journey. Entering the fair the first thing everyone could notice by there eyes would be the attracting, pretty,and enormous Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton which was with a light brown color getting peoples attention whoever passes it. Walking through the one section of the fair made me came to another experiment that greatly caught my bulky eyes. This was the fun and scary free fall which people that are involved need to be assertive. Holding the single small metal rod and falling down in some meters was what each intrepid and brave person has to do. From that amazing free fall I got into the space section. Is the section which gives knowledge about planets and rocks of the space. There are many space rocks shown with its information. Seeing each of the beautiful stones and its different shapes made me gain some ideas about the Earth science. Getting bored by walking, I then passed the food section which there was a great variety of food. All the delicious food can be found in the fair which satiated and left no problem for anyone.

                         Travelling in the Science fair was really like walking in the heaven knowing more things. It gives out the beauty and experience one can never had got before. Science fair a place filled with Science making us dream about it. Bitec Bangna Science Fair gave in  all accommodations and was an extreme place that all should seek knowledge there, because everything that was shown there was unequivocal. There are wonders of knowledge and one of that for me or someone else would be the marvelous exciting Science Fair. It is a place where Bangkokians should visit some fairs without visiting is like you are not a Bangkokians.
